Congratulations to Alejandro Remy from Martin Bachmann Keller EIRL (Surquillo, Peru) for this outstanding finalist entry showcasing the CLIMAX FF5300 Flange Facer used to machine an RTJ flange at a natural gas power plant.
The 22-inch, 2500-class RTJ flange was mounted on a high-pressure pipe and had sustained damage. After taking precise measurements from both the flange and the new RTJ ring, the FF5300 was installed and the flange was re-machined to OEM specifications in less than one day.
This project highlights efficient on-site flange repair that restored a critical high-pressure connection quickly and accurately, minimizing downtime at the power plant.
